About Us

The Maryland Chapter of the Financial Managers Society was formed in 1952 to study, promote and professionally develop practice in operations, systems procedures, financial management, accounting, auditing and data processing.  The Maryland Chapter of FMS meets 7-8 times per year.  One of our meetings is a Maryland style crab feast, with the rest being business/educational meetings.  CPE credits can be earned by attending our business/educational meetings.

We are a local chapter of the Financial Managers Society, Inc. (FMS).  FMS has over 1,500 national members that are CFOs, CEOs, COOs, Treasurers, Controllers, Investment Officers, and Internal Auditors from banks, thrifts, and credit unions.  Please visit the national FMS website for additional information.

Membership in the Maryland Chapter of FMS for financial institutions is $50 per year.  An affiliate membership for providers of products and services to financial institutions is $70 per year.  Members receive discounted pricing for each of our business/educational meetings.  Local chapter membership helps us with our planning and budget, which enables us to hold better programs/events, and provide better speakers.  For more information on membership, click on the Join Now link at the top of the webpage.
